A search is underway to locate the pair. abc.net.au/news/north-gosford-man-critical-after-nsw-central-coast-stabbing/105285400Link copiedShareShare articleA man is in a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed on the New South Wales Central Coast early Tuesday morning.Police said the alarm was raised about 6am when they were called to the basement of a unit block in North Gosford to find the man, 38, suffering multiple stab wounds.Police believe two people, a man and woman who were known to the man were responsible for the attack. NSW Police Chief Inspector Col Lott said it appeared the pair were involved in a fight with the victim before the man was allegedly stabbed in the back, upper body and left arm.Chief Inspector Col Lott says police believe the perpetrators are known to the victim. (ABC Central Coast: Mary-Louise Vince)"From the subsequent screams for help, other neighbours came out to see what was happening and saw the two persons of interest leaving the scene," he said.The man was taken to Gosford Hospital in a critical condition with upper body stab wounds."At this stage, it's fifty-fifty and he's in the hands of the doctors," Chief Inspector Lott said.One of the victim's neighbours said it was a shocking scene."Lots of blood, first thing in my apartment building.
