The victory over Labour was clinched by just six votes after a lengthy recount.Reform gained Lincolnshire and Staffordshire councils from the Conservatives, while Durham had been under no overall control.The mayoralty of Greater Lincolnshire also went to Reform.The Conservatives have won the race for mayor in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough from Labour. The Lib Dems are doing well in the South and South West.New mayorsIn Greater Lincolnshire, former Conservative MP Andrea Jenkyns, who defected to Reform in November, will become the area's first mayor.
