Since then, Apple and Epic have been embroiled in an ongoing legal battle, including a ruling more in Apple’s favor in 2021 and today’s ruling that is a major victory for Epic.Fortnite has returned to iOS in the EU, but only via Epic’s own mobile app store, which isn’t available in the US.Sweeney also offered a “peace proposal” from Epic to Apple in his post on X. “If Apple extends the court’s friction-free, Apple-tax-free framework worldwide, we’ll return Fortnite to the App Store worldwide and drop current and future litigation on the topic.”Apple didn’t immediately reply to a request for comment.See More: AppleEntertainmentFortniteGamingNewsTechMore in this streamSee allA judge just blew up Apple’s control of the App StoreJay PetersAn hour agoCommentsComment Icon BubbleNew App Store details from Phil Schiller testimony.Jay PetersFeb 25CommentsComment Icon BubbleTim Sweeney says his Epic lawsuits are all about freeing the youth:Sean HollisterSep 30, 2024CommentsComment Icon BubbleMost PopularMost PopularAmazon has no choice but to display tariffs on prices nowSlate Auto confirms where it’ll build its $20,000 TruckNew Starlink subscription drops hardware price to $0Donald Trump might actually believe these Calibri labels are real MS-13 tattoosDuolingo will replace contract workers with AIInstallerA weekly newsletter by David Pierce designed to tell you everything you need to download, watch, read, listen to, and explore that fits in The Verge’s universe.Email (required)Sign UpBy submitting your email, you agree to our Terms and Privacy Notice.
